Local Bahune river is flowing full-fledged. But the river is not enough for wild animals of the Park to drink and bathe,” said Laxman Paudyal, chief conservation officer at the Park. He however said reconstruction and filling the Rani Lake is underway.
The Park is constructing artificial 60 ponds for wild animals, and for that the centre has released Rs 12 million, he said. The Park is home to hundreds of wild animals and birds including 17 rhinoceros, 16 Royal Bengal tigers and over 300 swamp deer. RSS
