Chitwan : The construction process of 14 new bridges to be built in various places along the stretch of Narayangadh-Muglin road section will be commenced within a month.
Although expansion of the 36-kilometres road section has recently completed, the vehicular activities were facing difficulties following narrow bridges. According to Deputy Director-General of Department of Roads, Deepak Bhattarai, sketching of the bridges and call of tender would be commenced.
According to him, the paperwork towards this end has reached the last phase and some more time would take in seeking approval from the World Bank.”Keeping in view the difficulty facing the vehicular movements, we are committed to complete the bridge construction process on time,” said Bhattarai.
The road is 9-11 metre wide. Construction of wider bridges would only facilitate the vehicular movement, said Bhattarai, adding that construction of 14 bridges would cost around Rs 1 billion. RSS
