Kathmandu : The Department of Mines and Geology has started a geological mapping of four districts prone to earthquake. The districts where the mapping has taken place are Dhading, Gorkha, Tanahun and Chitwan.
“A geological study is being carried out in the districts. Factors like what kind of structures could be constructed and potentialities available for mines could be identified with the study,” said the Department’s Spokesperson Krishna Dev Jha.
Likewise, a survey and drilling have been completed in Khotang to extract limestone, and soil engineering in Mahottari, he added. RSS
