Kathmandu– The government of Province 2 has decided to plant 50,000 saplings in a day.
The provincial cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to implement green province program as per fiscal budget and programs and plant 50,000 saplings on September 28.
In a bid to make the government’s plan successful, the forest offices of eight districts will coordinate to plant the saplings, according to Atish Mishra, press coordinator to Chief Minister.
Mishra said that CM Lal babu Raut and all provincial ministers will take part in the tree plantation program. The green province program will be implemented in the government forests.
The provincial fiscal budget and programs of the current fiscal year announced to campaign ‘Save Chure, Save Madhes’ and raise awareness for the purpose.
Similarly, the government’s plans include green roads, green city, green ponds, green temples, green canals, and to develop eco-park zoo among others.
Speaking at a program to publicize the achievements of 100 days of the government, CM Raut claimed that his government has encouraged promoting agriculture, vegetables, fishery, and horticulture among others for achieving goal of green province.
