Energy Minister urges UAE for investment

Kathmandu : Minister for Energy, Waster Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun, has urged the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to invest in Nepal’s energy sector.

During a courtesy call paid by Ambassador of UAE to Nepal, Saeed Hamdan Alnaqbi, in Singha Durbar on Tuesday, Minister Pun reminded the Ambassador that Nepal has aimed at producing 10,000 MW electricity in coming 10 years.

Various issues relating to energy sector were discussed during the meet. The Minister requested the Ambassador to inform the UAE investors about Nepal’s investment climate because government would leave no stone unturned to ensure investment security.
