Black bees, producing high qualified honey, are seen in the northwestern Europe since a million years. However according to scientists, they are under threat of extinction due to several reasons such as mass importation of other subspecies, viruses and parasites. The agriculture project “The Valley of black bee” (La Vallee de l’abeille noire) aims to save them. / AFP PHOTO / SYLVAIN THOMAS/RSS
