Kathmandu. A team of icefall doctors assigned to fix the rope has reached Summit of Mt. Everest on Sunday afternoon, opening the route to the summit point.
According to Gyanendra Shrestha, an official at Ministry of Cultural, Tourism and Civil Aviation, said the team successfully fixed the rope to the Everest. With this, the climbers who have already reached at base camp can start climbing.
Pasang Tenjing Sherpa, Pasdawa Sherpa, Lakpa Dendhi Sherpa, Jen Jen Lama, Siddhi Bahadur Tamang, Pemba Chhiring Sherpa, Tenzing Gyaljen Sherpa and Datuk Bhote fixed the rope. According to official, some teams will begin their climbing from Monday. This year, government has introduced some security measures to ensure the security of climbers.
