As per the agreement, the countries in the South and South East Asia work together to minimize the impact of natural disaster and cooperate to face the challenges.
The ADPC has its office in Bangkok, Thailand. Vice-Chairman of the FNCCI, Kishor Pradhan, and Executive Director of ADPC, Hans Gutman, signed the Memorandum of Understanding during the fifth regional meeting of the Asian Preparedness Partnership held in Myanmar for two days- Dec 2 to 3.
As per the MoU, various awareness-laden programmes, training, seminar, capacity building of the concerned employees would be organized for the information exchange, data collection and technical assistance among the countries in South and South East Asia.
These regions witness huge loss of lives and properties in floods, landslide, soil erosion, hurricane and earthquake. The multi-stakeholders agencies from Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippines, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka form this regional partnership including local, provincial and federal governments, national and international organizations, civil society organizations, private sectors, media, intellectual forums, Pradhan shared.
