Bajhang : Four workers of Kalanga hydropower project have been found dead inside a tunnel at Bungal municipality-1 of Bajhang district on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Karna Bahadur Shahi and Mahendra Shahi of Dailekh and Mahendra Saud of Achham and Sher Bahadur Dhami of Bajhang, according to Assistant Sub-Inspector at the Area Police Office, Bungal, Ammar Bhandari.
The four workers had gone missing from 3:00 pm on Sunday when they entered inside the tunnel of the under construction 65-MW Kalanga hydropower project at Darimgadh of Sanigadh of Bungal municipality for the work.
Although a technical team had taken initiative to carry out search for them on Sunday, it returned without carrying out the search, citing lack of oxygen inside the tunnel. A team of the Armed Police Force found them dead in course of a search today, according to the District Police Office. RSS
