Inaugurating the mobile van which would test the quality of the water here on Tuesday, Minister Magar reiterated that the government was effortful to provide drinking water to every citizen as stipulated in the constitution. For the water and sewage, Magar shared that the government was moving ahead with plans on it.
Lamenting over the lack of drinking water among people during the disaster, she expressed her confidence that with the availability of mobile van, public would access drinking water anywhere and anytime. According to her, the government has put in place the plans and programmes for the improvement of water quality in various drinking water projects across the country.
Similarly, Director General at Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management (DWSSM), Sunil Kumar Das, said that the van would be taken to various places across the country, especially to the disaster-hit areas, to test the quality of the water and purify it for distribution. Minister Magar distributed 5 mobile vans purchased by the DWSSM to Butwal, Pokhara, Surkhet, Janakpur and Bharatpur branches. Itahari and Dhangadi branches have already got the mobile vans. RSS
