Most of the households in Baniya village, Mahatniya, Majherati, Miyapurwa, Chordariya, Mahadevnagar, Kotiha, Bahabpurwa and Roshanpurwa have been submerged due to the structure. Over hundred households have been besieged and around a dozen houses were broken down, Shah shared.
The incessant rain also has caused damages to the under-construction Postal Highway. Soil erosion is being occurred in both the sides of the road nearby bridges and culverts. Dal Bahadur Basnet, chief administrative officer, Narainapur, also said water has gushed into the office of ward-1.
A team headed by Shah has been in the field to rescue people after the residential area was waterlogged. The rain-triggered flood in the rivulet and rainfall entered into the houses, said Birendra Bir Biswakarma, chief of Area Police Office, Bhojbhagawanpur.
