Most of the houses of Baniya cillage, Mahataniya, Majherati, Miyapurwa, Ghordhauriya, Mahadevnagar, Kotiha and Roshanpurwa have been waterlogged and some one dozen of houses have been damaged there due to incessant rainfall, said Chairperson of Narainapur rural municipality, Ishiyak Ahamed Sah.
The rainfall has also damaged under construction postal highway. Chief Administrative Dal Bahadur Basnet said that the office of ward no 1 has also been waterlogged. Main market areas of Nepalgunj– Gharbaritole, Ganeshpur and buspark area have been waterlogged. Spokesperson at Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, Pramod Rijal, said that although no human casualty was reported in the incident, normal life has been affected.
