Just a week after breaking his own record for most summits on Mt Everest (23rd time), Kami Rita Sherpa has yet achieved another feat by successfully scaling the world’s highest peak again.
Gyanendra Shrestha, contact officer at the base camp, confirmed that Sherpa stood on top of the peak at 6:38 am today.
Sherpa, now 49, for the first time achieved the feat of successfully setting his foot atop Mount Everest in 1994, and has so far completed 24 summits to the world’s highest peak. He has earlier announced to retire after completing his 25 summits to Mt Everest. RSS
