Seven metric tons of wastes were picked up from the Bagmati River before Baneshwor Campus area as part of Bagmati River Clean-up Mega Campaign reaching its 314th week on Saturday.
The campaign saw the participation of over 700 people from different walks of life. Likewise, three metric tons of garbages were extracted from the Guheshwori river under Gothatar bridge under the Guheshwori Clean-up Campaign that made it to 275th week.
As part of the Rudramati Clean-up Campaign reaching its 268th week, a metric ton of waste was taken out from the Rudramati river at Ratopul-Setopul area. More than 100 people from various walks of life participated in the campaign.
Likewise, one metric ton of garbage was collected from the Manohara river at Mahadev Temple in Koteshwor under the Manohara River Clean-up Campaign getting to its 113rd week. The drive witnessed more than 150 people from various walks of life.
As part of the Ring Road Clean-up Campaign that reached its 110th week, six metric tons of wastes were picked up from the area between new Basundhara Chowk to Green City Hospital, said campaign coordinator Lok Bahadur Tandan. More than 250 campaigners had participated in the campaign. RSS
