Likewise, the center to collect agricultural products will be established in convenient places where agricultural products are produced. Approximately Rs 2 billion project aims to collect agricultural products from farmers by paying a decent price, process them and manage their marketisation, said Yubraj Gurung, chief of the agriculture conservation committee under the NRNA. It is expected to reduce losses on agricultural produces due to lack to its market, he added.
It also has a plan to promote agricultural products in the international market, implement international agriculture system, establish its own brand and sell quality and healthy agricultural products. As per the agreement, a seven-member taskforce comprising the state government, Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative, the NRNA and private sector will be formed in this regard.
The taskforce is tasked with submitting the report following a feasibility study of the project, and setting a necessary work procedure for the project. The state government will provide necessary infrastructures and services like land, road, electricity and water for the public private partnership project.
