Nawalparasi : The Energy Management Centre has been established at the Secretariat of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of west Nawalparasi. The centre was established under the Nepal Energy Efficiency Project, phase III implemented by Federation of Nepali Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The centre has been established with support from the government of Nepal and the German government with the objective of checking power leakage from various big industries. Such centres shall be established in large industrial zones too, FNCCI province no 5 Chair Gunanidhi Tiwari said.
The centre is also expected to help the private sector in making proper use of power and checking power leakage in big industries. However, Vice-chair of the Chamber Nagendra Agrahari stressed that the state should provide power facilities in concessional rate in order to help the private sector grow its business. RSS
