Baglung : Tarakhola Rural Municipality in Baglung district has started the installation of solar panel in its touristic sites. In the first phase, solar panel sets have been installed in and around Gaighat falls and Shiva Temple at Tinchule.
Rural Municipality Chairman Prakash Gharti said that the solar sets were installed to ease the visitors as well as to ensure safety of the public places. The rural municipality had allocated Rs 400,000 in budget for the current fiscal year to promote solar energy.
“We are planning to install solar panel in all religious and touristic sites. This move will get continuity in the coming years too,” he added. Gaighat falls in ward no. 1 and Shiva Temple in ward no. 3 are the tourist sites in the rural municipality.
With infrastructure development and increased publicity campaigns, the number of internal visitors has upped in Gaighat falls.
Likewise, the rural municipality is planning to install solar panel sets in the densely-populated areas. “We will fix solar panel in schools, health care institutions, roads and other public sites,” Gharti shared. RSS
