Kathmandu : Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun, has called for investment in the hydropower sector of the country, as the government has set a target to generate 15,000 MW electricity in 10 years.
He made the call to a Canadian delegation comprising parliamentarian Brad Trost that had reached Singha Durbar-based Ministry on Wednesday to call on Minister Pun.
On the occasion, Minister Pun said that 10,000 MW electricity was necessary within 10 years in the country. He urged the Canadian delegation for help to increasing investment in the sector of energy and physical infrastructure of Nepal.
In response, parliamentarian Trost held discussion regarding possibility of Canadian investment in Nepal’s hydropower sector. RSS
