A joint team of veterinarians from China’s animal quarantine led by Dr Wang and Nepali team have been checking the health condition of the rhino pair that have been kept in a specially built Boma at Sasuraha-based National Nature Conservation Trust in Chitwan.

According to Nepali Dr Amil Poudel, the joint veterinary team has been observing the rhinos to test if they have any disease such as Khoret, tuberculosis and bluetongue. The team will take samples from them and take them for lab test.

Three rhinos captured from western sector of Chitwan National Park have been kept at Sauraha. And the fourth one was rescued and repatriated from India. The rhinos will be transported to China on a chartered flight.
