Kathmandu– Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Prasad Adhikari said that Nepal Mountain Academy would be developed as a university for mountaineering education.
Addressing a programme organized to honor Mt Everest climber Diki Sherpa in the Capital City on Thursday, Minister Adhikari said that international level curriculum should be developed on mountaineering and the academy should be managed professionally.
On the occasion, Minister Adhikari said that this season around 400 mountaineers scaled Mt Everest and added that Himalayas should be preserved from the impacts of climate change. He also stressed the need for garbage management of Mt Everest. RSS
