NTB launches Chinese Language website

KATHMANDU— With a purpose of attracting more Chinese tourists, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) on Monday launched its website in Chinese language.

In a special function organized by NTB, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari inaugurated the website. Addressing the program, Minister Adhikari expressed the hope that website will contribute to bring more Chinese tourist in Nepal.

The major information that website carries are: major tourism destinations, foods, locations of Chinese restaurants, information on guide services, air routes among others.

In the recent months, the number of Chinese tourist is increasing in Nepal. The number of Chinese tourist visiting Nepal overtook those from India during the first quarter of 2018. Nepal received a total of 36,384 Chinese tourists from January to March against the arrival of 34,133 Indians during the same period.
