The forum will focus on issues surrounding ecology and environment as well as the prospects of tourism and foreign investment in Nepal following the political stability in Nepal. The event is also expected to enhance advocacy on global concerns. The meeting held in the chairmanship of the Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has decided to hold the joint meeting of the ‘Sagarmatha Sambad steering committee’ and ‘Sagarmatha Sambad organizing committee’ on coming Friday.
Minister Gyawali chairs the both committees. Today’s meeting has decided to present the agenda and issues to be presented in Friday’s meeting for the decision. Furthermore, it decided to expedite the works relating to the Sagaramtha Sambad given the time constraints. Present in the meeting were Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Secretary at the Ministry of Forest and Environment Bishwanath Oli and Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shankar Das Bairagi, among others.
